Here are some of the contenders for today's biggest...news...of...the...day...
While those are all stories worth watching, I think it is obviously clear that the biggest news is this set of stories -
So...it didn't take long for the tell-tale signs of an animal uprising to pop up. Long-time readers may remember that this is the second story we have seen about pyromaniacal squirrels. And, this adds to the fires we have seen caused by pigs, cats, and birds. Though, part of me still thinks that all the animals have to do is wait. As illustrated by the second and third articles, there are a lot of people doing really questionable things so society may just implode.
As far as the last story goes, I thought this quote made the article -
"'It does happen that a blade will sometimes just come off a machine for one reason or another,' he said. 'We don't normally see things like aircraft - or UFOs - hitting them. It's usually a mechanical failure that causes the blade to separate from the main hub.'"
The article also highlights an interesting tendency for people to jump past the obvious, but more mundane, explanations. For other evidence of that, see the cases of the suspected chupucabra and the UFO 'debris'.
