Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average Suggest a 75-Point Drop Amid Alcoa Jobcuts

Good morning everyone - welcome to Wednesday. We start the day with stock futures showing a downside bias. The S&Ps are nearly 8 points below fair value. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) are indicating an opening drop of 75 points. Gold is down 2.80.

The headlines are focused on Alcoa Inc (AA) after the company announced it was cutting 13,500 jobs and trying to reduce costs. The stock is currently showing a bid that would put it down 6%.
